SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability at Husker Harvest Days

Farm Progress believes that, together, we can create a path to a sustainable and climate-friendly industry. We are dedicated to environmental improvements that foster a sustainable future and lead to social and economic improvements for our customers and the communities we serve.

Reducing Waste and Carbon Emissions

Husker Harvest Days is taking steps to propel a more sustainable future forward. New in 2024, attendees will enjoy a paper-free, streamlined online registration process. On the grounds, stay connected with two permanent solar charging stations for phones and laptops.

Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility

Providing resources to the agriculture community is an important part of our shows.  We partner with Nebraska Cancer Coalition to provide PSA lab draws, blood pressure checks, and skin cancer checks on-site at Husker Harvest Days. In 2023, the health screenings included over 1,330 blood pressure checks, 289 PSA lab draws, and 451 skin cancer checks.

In addition, we also partner with the University of Nebraska to provide programming for women in agriculture. Be on the lookout for new content in 2024!

Industry Impact

Husker Harvest Days is a gathering place for today’s industry leaders. Politicians and local, state and national government officials utilize the shows as a platform and opportunity to engage with the agriculture community.

Community Support

Husker Harvest Days believes in giving back to the local rural communities who help us host our shows. In 2023, we partnered with United Way and FFA for a food drive that resulted in more than 15,000 pounds of food for local central Nebraska food banks.
